From the exhilarating high of finishing our beloved "Thor" at the Regional show, to the depths of despair with horrible news. As responsible Boxer breeder/owner/handlers, Savanna and I had Thor's heart tested at the Regional. What we found out literally stole our breath away. "Thor" was diagnosed with grades 3-4 SAS and severe irregular heartbeats - ARVC. We were simply stunned as there are generations of heart healthy and tested Boxers in his pedigree. Then the final blow; after months on heart meds, "Thor" was failing and wasting away in front of our eyes. We made the unthinkable decision to put him down in January 2011. Our hearts are broken. Rest in peace our precious "Thor"....we will see you again....
